We also have late evening appointments available on Mondays between 18.30 and 8.15pm, the last appointment being 8.00pm. These appointments are for patients who find it difficult to attend during normal surgery opening times. These appointments will be pre-booked and anyone attending will be able to access the surgery via the side entrance. We have installed a call system and you will be buzzed in as you arrive.
Please note that there is no facility for ordering and collecting prescriptions during these extended hours.
The Practice is now providing half an hour of dedicated clinical advice service for young people each week in the light of the Young HealthWatch report. This service provides 3 telephone appointments each week with a Nurse where patients aged 13 – 21 can phone and discuss any issue that might be concerning them. This can include skin problems, immunisations, weight and diet. We can also offer sexual health and contraceptive advice, chlamydia screening and as a Practice we participate in the C-Card service (please see additional information below).
The appointments are provided on a Friday afternoon between 4 – 4.30pm and you should advise the reception staff when booking that you wish to take advantage of this service. Where necessary the Nurse will be able to sign post patients within the Practice to the most appropriate clinician if it is felt they need to come in and be assessed further.
Please note that the service will be reviewed after a 2 month period to assess and understand utilisation levels of these appointments and consider whether the time allocated is the most suitable for patients.
Please ask at reception for details or call 01924 371011, option 1 to make an appointment.
We do not expect any patient to wait longer than two working days for a non-urgent or routine appointment, unless you wish to see a particular Doctor or need a specific time of day. If you need an urgent appointment please make this clear to the Practice Administrator and we will accommodate you that day.
Children under the age of 16 must ideally be accompanied by an adult, the child may be refused to be seen if not.
